We have a new raid team, and they’re recruiting.
The Degens are a 20-player Mythic team led by Thrillz, raiding Tuesday and Thursday nights. They want to take Mythic seriously and make real progress, but they also have jobs, families, and lives outside of Azeroth, and they’re building a team around that. Two nights, five hours a week, and that’s it.
If you’ve been wanting to get into Mythic but every team you look at wants four nights a week and your firstborn, keep reading.
Who The Degens Are
The Degens are a semi-hardcore Mythic progression team, and they’re brand new. The roster is still coming together and progression is just getting started (they almost have Heroic cleared). The long-term goal is mid-mythic, somewhere around 4 or 5 bosses down.
Like every team in Autonomous, The Degens run their own show. They set their own schedule, pace, and culture, but they’re in the same guild and the same Discord as the rest of us. So on the nights they aren’t raiding, there’s always somebody around to run keys with.
Meet Thrillz
Thrillz is leading The Degens and calling the pulls on raid night. You can expect a no-nonsense raid and lots of laughs.
Got questions about the team before you apply? Thrillz is the person to ask, so hit them up in Discord.
What a Raid Week Looks Like
Tuesday & Thursday | 8:00pm - 10:30pm EST
Invites go out at 7:45 and the first pull is at 8:00. Not 8:05. Be in the instance, repaired, with your consumables ready to go. There’s a quick break around 9:15.
Tuesday starts with a clear of whatever’s already on farm, then the second half of the night is progression. Thursday is progression all night.
What The Degens Expect From You
Five hours a week isn’t a lot of raid time, so the team needs you to show up ready to use it.
- Keep your gear up. Run keys between raid nights.
- Do your homework. Know the fights before you walk in. Watch a guide, read the notes, whatever works for you.
- Know your mechanics and be ready to cover. Things go sideways. Be the person who picks up the slack.
- Take feedback without getting defensive, and give it without being a jerk about it.
- Tell someone if you’re going to miss. It’s a 20-person roster with barely a bench, so one empty spot changes the whole night.
The Vibe
The Degens are not a world first team, and they aren’t pretending to be. The pace is realistic on purpose, so nobody burns out trying to keep up with someone else’s timeline.
You’re going to wipe. A lot. That’s Mythic. Every wipe is a chance to figure out what went wrong, and nobody is getting chewed out in raid chat over it. No in-fighting, period.
Outside of raid, people run keys, gear up alts, and talk strats for the bosses coming up. None of that is required, but honestly, it’s the best way to get to know everybody.
Gear and Loot
You need to be at least 300 item level to apply.
Loot is handled by loot council, so there’s no rolling. Leadership decides where each drop goes based on what helps the team progress. If you’ve only ever rolled for gear it takes a minute to get used to, but it means upgrades end up where they actually matter.
Who We’re Looking For
Right now The Degens need:
- Healers: Preservation Evoker or Mistweaver Monk
- DPS: Demon Hunter, Evoker, and Warlock
Don’t see your class? Come say hi anyway. Autonomous has other teams on other nights, and you can see every open spot on our recruitment page.
Come Raid With Us
If Tuesdays and Thursdays work for you and this sounds like your kind of team, join the Discord and apply to The Degens. Tell us your class, spec, and item level.
Schedule doesn’t work for you? Check out the rest of our teams. There’s a good chance one of them fits.
See you on raid night!
